Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Austin, TX)

Rivermark Vista Community Partners is a Austin charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on research and testing. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in Austin. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
