Senior UX Designer - research and testing (Austin, TX)

Fernwood Granite Financial serves customers across Austin with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on research and testing. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around vendor spend that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in vendor spend. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
