Senior UX Designer - mobile flows (Virginia Beach, VA)

Fernwood Ridge Early Learning runs childcare centres in Virginia Beach caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. You would join a large organisation of about 576 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
