Senior UX Designer - mobile flows (remote)

Fernwood Meadow Insurance is an insurance company in Rochester with claims and service teams, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our mobile flows. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around underwriting files that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in underwriting files. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
