Senior UX Designer - mobile flows (Oakland, CA)

Silverline Thistle Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Oakland. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on mobile flows. You would join a small organisation of about 85 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around policy renewals that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in policy renewals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
