Senior UX Designer - design systems (Tucson, AZ)

Ironwood Cross Arts Center is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for exhibitions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 111 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in exhibitions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Tucson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
