Senior UX Designer - design systems (San Jose, CA)

Foxglove Timber Community Partners is a San Jose charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on design systems. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around donor records that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in donor records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
