Senior UX Designer - design systems (Rochester, NY)

Bright Iron Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Rochester. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on design systems. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
