Senior UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Lumen Mill Arts Center is an arts centre in Anchorage with a full calendar of events, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our design systems. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
