Senior UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Westbrook Beacon Markets is a Austin retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around online orders that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in online orders. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
