Senior UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Lumen Amber Early Learning Group is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for tuition and subsidies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in tuition and subsidies. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
