Senior UX Designer - design systems (remote)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Basin Arts Center and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in event logistics. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
