Senior UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Rivermark Drift Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Austin. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on design systems. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in ridership counts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
