Senior UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Nova Beacon Early Learning is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for licensing records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around licensing records that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in licensing records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
