Senior UX Designer - design systems (Providence, RI)

Cedar Nest Financial Group provides savings, lending and payment services from Providence, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our design systems. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around regulatory reports that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in regulatory reports. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
