Senior UX Designer - design systems (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Keystone Transit Planning and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
