Senior UX Designer - design systems (New Orleans, LA)

Nova Loom Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around New Orleans, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
