Senior UX Designer - design systems (Knoxville, TN)

Greenridge Birch Arts Center Partners is an arts centre in Knoxville with a full calendar of events, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our design systems. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around ticketing that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ticketing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
