Senior UX Designer - design systems (Columbus, OH)

Harborlight River Medical is a Columbus company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our design systems. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around device records that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in device records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
