Senior UX Designer - design systems (Charleston, SC)

Redstone Cobalt Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Charleston. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 904 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
