Senior UX Designer - design systems (Birmingham, AL)

Bluepeak Haven Learning Group is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around family communication that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in family communication. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
