Senior UX Designer - content design (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Bright Birch Arts Center and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
