Senior UX Designer - content design (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Bright Ivory Transit Planning and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in ridership counts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
