Senior UX Designer - content design (Virginia Beach, VA)

Bright Iron Medical is a Virginia Beach company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on content design. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in clinical evaluations. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
