Senior UX Designer - content design (Seattle, WA)

Fernwood Field Learning Group is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on content design for school calendars, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around school calendars that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in school calendars. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
