Senior UX Designer - content design (Seattle, WA)

Fernwood Wilder Insurance is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on content design for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
