Senior UX Designer - content design (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Kestrel Press Group and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in proofing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Madison. • We reply to every applicant.
