Senior UX Designer - content design (remote)

Lumen River Learning Group is an education provider in Jackson serving students and families. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on content design. You would join a small organisation of about 50 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around school calendars that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in school calendars. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
