Senior UX Designer - content design (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind Umber Arts Center and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around volunteer programmes that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in volunteer programmes. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
