Senior UX Designer - content design (remote)

Fernwood Labs is a nonprofit in Louisville supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our content design. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in food distribution. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
