Senior UX Designer - content design (remote)

Cedar Beacon Press is a printer and publisher in Birmingham serving local and national clients, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our content design. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Design for tasks around print quotes that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in print quotes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
