Senior UX Designer - content design (remote)

Amberfield Lakeside Transit Planning is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on content design for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around fare systems that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in fare systems. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
