Senior UX Designer - content design (Raleigh, NC)

Cedar Yarrow Transit Planning is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on content design for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in accessibility audits. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
