Senior UX Designer - content design (Providence, RI)

Fernwood Rowan Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Providence, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our content design. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in visitor services. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
