Senior UX Designer - content design (Portland, OR)

Bright North Early Learning is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on content design for tuition and subsidies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 423 people based in Portland. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in tuition and subsidies. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
