Senior UX Designer - content design (Memphis, TN)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Forge Transit Planning and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be content design. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around fare systems that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in fare systems. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Memphis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
