Senior UX Designer - content design (Kansas City, MO)

Cedar Ember Insurance is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on content design for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 71 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in catastrophe response. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Kansas City. • We reply to every applicant.
