Senior UX Designer - content design (Grand Rapids, MI)

Summit West Arts Center is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on content design for ticketing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 24 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around ticketing that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in ticketing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
