Senior UX Designer - content design (Grand Rapids, MI)

Westbrook Lantern Learning Group is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on content design for student accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in student accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
