Senior UX Designer - content design (Austin, TX)

Nova Birch Arts Center is an arts centre in Austin with a full calendar of events. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on content design. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in visitor services. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
