Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Juniper Transit Planning Group and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in service alerts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
