Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (remote)

Northwind Thistle Early Learning Group runs childcare centres in Chicago caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on accessibility review. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around tuition and subsidies that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
