Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Portland, OR)

Fernwood Glen Transit Planning is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ridership counts. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
