Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Kansas City, MO)

Summit Juniper Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Kansas City presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in school partnerships. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
