Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Kansas City, MO)

Westbrook Maple Insurance is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
