Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Jackson, MS)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Harbor Arts Center and adding a Senior UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around volunteer programmes that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in volunteer programmes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
