Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Hartford, CT)

Ironwood Haven Early Learning runs childcare centres in Hartford caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Design for tasks around licensing records that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in licensing records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
