Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Grand Rapids, MI)

Nova Bridge Arts Center is an arts centre in Grand Rapids with a full calendar of events. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on accessibility review. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in school partnerships. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
