Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Detroit, MI)

Redstone Iron Learning Group is an education provider in Detroit serving students and families. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
