Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Des Moines, IA)

Nova Sparrow Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Des Moines, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Design for tasks around survey data that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in survey data. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
